View From The Bridge: a holiday short story

My penultimate new release of 2024, VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE first appeared in the Bay Area Queer Writers Association anthology “Queer Cheer” (2023). Now it’s out on its own, 99 cents on all platforms. Click HERE for its dedicated page at Queeromance Ink, with an excerpt and buy links.

Three key things about VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE:

  1. It’s a short story! That’s why it’s 99 cents! It’s also a later-in-life holiday-themed M/M romance.

  2. Set in San Francisco at the end of 2019, featuring two ex-Navy legal professionals.

  3. Happy ending guaranteed.

Way back in high school and college I was assigned certain short stories, and I even read some voluntarily, but for a good 20+ years I was a long-form reader. In the past 5 years I’ve come to appreciate novellas, novelettes, and short stories. They’re the perfect end-of-day reading choice.

They’re also really fun to write.

In case you should be in search of additional holiday-themed romantic stories, here are more of mine. Click on the highlighted titles for the QRI links, which will give you an excerpt, sometimes a review or two, and buy links.

MISTLETANGO: this full-length M/M novel features a holiday vacation fling that turns into much more. Also quite a bit of dancing.

MY HOLIDAY STAR: this M/M novella comes with content alerts for depression & suicidal ideation, but I promise it starts at the lowest point and ends happily.

STAR OF WONDER: a trans F / bi M novelette set in Las Vegas.

EMPTY SHELVES, FULL HEARTS: a later-in-life M/M novelette set around the last days of a beloved Los Angeles bookstore.

FISHNETS & TINSEL: this M/M novelette features a pair of drag queens in Las Vegas.

Now, should you be in search of more like these that aren’t holiday-themed, check out my index pages! Happy reading.
