A Winning Hand: a new novel
Blitz Month continues with a new novel set in Las Vegas. Thanks to Mathew Schwartz @cadop unsplash.com for the cover photo!
I’ll bet you see that cover and think, this book is about a piano player. You’re right! Other key things to know:
While the heroine Gloria Louise Bartolo is indeed a piano player, the hero Lou Kravitz is a cop.
This novel is written in alternating-first-person point of view.
It’s funny.
It’s also possibly key to point out that there is sex and cussing in this book. If you don’t like that kind of thing, stay away.
Gloria Louise was first introduced in my Vegas-set novella HERE TO STAY. She is the piano player for the trio backing up Gino Corsetti. She’s also a songwriter, and this book spends a good bit of time in her head so there is quite a lot about music here.
Lou is a new character. I’m a big fan of Lou. He’s from New Jersey; he was in the Army before joining the LVPD; and he’s considering another career transition when he meets Gloria Louise. That transition happens in the course of this book.
A WINNING HAND is a straightforward romance novel, from first meeting to happy ending. There are good friends, competence porn, and a dog.
Content warnings: aforementioned sex on the page; gun violence.
A WINNING HAND is a M/F romance novel, 64,000 words, available now at Amazon. Click the image to link to product page!
