In other words, my main characters Lachlan (a jeweler) and Taran (a costume designer) have been eyeing each other for a long time but for Reasons have not acted on their attraction. Once forced into proximity, things move fast.
Taran is almost 50 and Lachlan is 55, which means they’ve both been through the relationship mill before and are looking for The Last One. Taran is a math teacher; Lachlan was in the Royal Air Force and then worked in aerospace before retirement. Both of them have been involved with this particular fictitious Renaissance festival for years, because an outlet for their creativity is important.
This novella has a small cast of characters, which may make it a good entry point into my story universe. There is a tiny bit of crossover with M/M novel BE MINE; M/M novella SUGAR DADDY; and F/M novelette THIS TIME. If you like OUR REVELS NOW, you might enjoy one of those!
